Tip: Depending on the aspect of your room and the type of lighting you choose, carpet can look darker or lighter by two or three shades when in situ. In a sunny south facing room, bear in mind that a pale pastel shade could appear warmer in tone and in a north facing 'cold' light you may want to go for a slightly warmer tone.
